An enlarged meeting of the working group on propositions to be included in the strategy for the social and economical development of the North Caucasus Federal District has taken place in Grozny. The chairman of the working group, the finance minister of Chechnya, said the main task on the first stage is to carry out an integrated analysis of the existing economic potential of the republic. For this it is necessary to attract a number of scientific experts, and to create effective projects, the realization of which will create new jobs and will favor the forming of a flexible stable business environment, the development of agro-industrial and industrial potentials, guaranteeing investment attractiveness, as well effective use and development of the transport and energetic infrastructure in the territory of Chechnya.

The interdepartmental commission of the Federal National Border Construction Agency signed an act on the opening of an air cargo-and-passenger checkpoint in Grozny airport. The delegation arrived in the republic from Moscow to monitor the humanitarian projects financed by the US government and meet with the representatives of the government and some ministries of the republic of Chechnya. The US Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (BPRM) became a donor of the humanitarian organizations the Danish refugee council, International Rescue committee (USA) and International Medical Corps (USA).
300,000 roubles for best business project
A competition for the best business project among young people has been announced in the republic of Chechnya. It is being realized as a part of the programme "Youth business school". The Youth Committee of the government of the republic reports that this year grants total 300,000 rubles. The money will go the authors of 15 best business
projects. Participants cab be from 18 to 35 years old.
