The president noted that such political events had never been held in the region before. The Ingush delegation proposed 11 projects, 5 of which?were chosen for further realization - a perinatal center, special school, solutions for landslide prevention, construction of poultry farms, and the establishment of a network of small hydroelectric stations. More than 6 billion roubles were requested for the landslide problem resolution.
The head of the republic also raised the issue of the construction of a children's hospital in Ingushetia. The Russian ministry for healthcare and social development will soon consider the issue. The Ingush delegation also touched upon the problem of the city of Magas's development, which according to the plan requires about 17 billion roubles.
"The NCFD has been given serious preferences," the Ingush leader noted. The federal road "Caucasus" will become a driving force for the development of the region. According to local leaders it is of vital importance to find a new route at a distance from densely-populated areas, such as Nazran and Gudermes. But this is a calamitous issue in Ingushetia, where land seizure is widespread.?Yevkurov promised to establish a special commission for investigation of every case.
The projects to establish a network of hydroelectric stations and create tourist clusters have united the interests of the North Caucasus republics. The Ingush president noted he gave an order to examine the potential of the region in the tourism sector and find ways to realize it.
The republic's authorities also attach importance to the issues of reconstruction of historic monuments and the ecosystem of this unique region, in order to develop historic and ecological tourism. The Dzherahsko-Asinovskii national park will be brought under UNESCO protection.
