VK has already reported that the authorities of Russia’s Stavropol Territory are implementing a large-scale programme (intended for the period until 2020) for the rehabilitation of the regional economy after the crisis.
The socio-economic situation in 2009-2010 in the territory can be characterized as stable. Due to economic diversity, Stavropol didn’t suffer from the crisis as much as other areas.
In 2010 inflation has decreased, and the average incomes of the population have grown.
The ministry of economic development has developed a forecast of the territory’s socio-economic development for the period of 2011-2013. According to this estimate, Gross Regional Product will increase by 24% by 2013.
