The first Construction and Industry forum "Hospitable Ossetia", organized by the Ministry of Industry, Architecture and Construction Policy of North Ossetia together with the Ministry of Economic Development, Industry and Construction of the Stavropol region, has finished in Vladikavkaz. The heads of more than 80 companies from the North Caucasian Federal District and Southern Federal District participated in the forum. The forum lasted three days, all the time accompanied by trading stalls, where the producers of food and light industry of Stavropol and the North Caucasus sold their goods at very reasonable prices. Stavropol dairy products, bakery products, sunflower oil, cereals, pasta and curtains of the Mozdokskaya garment factory were in demand.
“The forum is a great event for the North Caucasus,” – said a representative of the government of North Ossetia, Nikolai Khlyntsov. The exhibition presented contemporary materials, equipment, tools, special road-building machinery, energy and innovative technology.
Experts particularly noted the Caucasian cultural and musical center, the National museum, the Radio and Television broadcasting station on Lysaya Mountain, the airport in Beslan and the Alina Kabayeva Sports Center in Tskhinvali.
Various sectors participated in the forum, where professionals shared their experiences with colleagues. The main theme was an energy-saving program, because in order to produce one unit of GDP Russia spends far more fuel and energy than Western countries and Japan. Three months ago the government of North Ossetia adopted a targeted program of energy saving and energy efficiency for the period from 2011 to 2014, but it needs refinement. So far only some of the economic facilities have started to address the issues of energy saving, but the budget participants lose in this area, primarily because it has not been reflected in their financial plans for the current year. However, the energy audit is the most important national objective, and this thought was expressed at the forum more than once.
