In the framework of the energy reserve program in the region, bus stations in Stavropol Territory are going to be equipped with solar batteries, in order to allow waiting passengers to enjoy natural light even after sunset.
The first such station has already been opened in the city of Stavropol. According to the Head of the Administration of the Oktyabrsky District of Stavropol, Igor Serov, this station is situated in the center of the city, where people crowd in everyday.
A solar battery is fixed to the top of the pavilion. It accumulates the energy of the sun and then turns it into light at night. Three hours of intense sunshine are enough to recharge the battery, then it can be used for several nights. The light turns on automatically someone enters a pavilion and turns off when they leave.
