Stavropol Territory and Sverdlovsk Region to stimulate their economic cooperation.

At the end of October a delegation of Stavropol Territory visited Sverdlovsk Region. According to the Minister of Economic Development of Stavropol Territory, Yury Yagudayev, the assembled officials discussed issues of cooperation in the spheres of agriculture, light industry, tourism and microelectronics.

The Minister said that the regions have a good chance of cooperating in the sphere of pharmocology, as they can be mutually complementary in this sphere of production. The agricultural resources of Sravropol Territory are also of interest to the Sverdlovsk Region. The region is interested in deliveries of grain, fruit, meat and dairy products from Stavropol.

The members of the Stavropol delegation visited enterprises such as a strain-optical plant, a bread-producing complex, a wine-producing complex and a metallurgical plant. The delegation managed to agree with the administrations of these enterprises to increase the volume of trade.

In addition to this, the Trade and Industry Chambers of the regions signed a special agreement aimed at stimulating economic cooperation. According to the Chairman of the Trade and Industry Chamber of Stavropol Territory, Andrey Murga, this agreement is a remarkable step.
