North Ossetia supports young entrepreneurs
Promotion of small and medium-size enterprises in North Ossetia might help stabilize the economy of the region. This statement was made when the head of the Republic, Taymuraz Mamsurov, and other high-ranking officials attended a ‘Business-start’ exhibition, demonstrating the achievements and projects of young entrepreneurs in the new business center facility.
The businessmen suggested that new enterprises should be granted tax benefits and the officials promised to look into this and do their best. The question of open legal and economic consultations was also addressed during the meeting. A proposition was made by the Republic’s leasing company.
The businessmen stressed that though they had managed to obtain administrative support without facing corrupt practices, the bureaucratic apparatus is far too slow and complicated. The head of the Republic promised to establish a simpler and quicker way for businessmen to obtain their licenses by creation a “one-window” service. He also said that a whole series of questions are to be resolved together by businessmen and administration officials, provided the business projects offered by the young people have prospects and are promising, as well as professionally composed.
According to official information, more than 300 young businessmen have been supported by the government. Young people with initiative are also supported in the field of science by state grants. Young scientists and promising students received some 150,000 rubles for projects in farming and the construction industry. All the new ideas of young scientists are reviewed by the Republic’s Ministry of Economic Development.
