Naurski region of Chechnya is not only the oldest but also the most multi-national region of Chechnya. When you visit this region you feel atmosphere of the past. Various epochs of the Russian state are mingled here. Names of settlements are evident. Today in the region 55 thousand people of different ethnic groups and confessions live.
Recently the centre of the region Naur held a regular agricultural fair. 5 years ago the authorities of Naurski region and Izobilnen regions of the Stavropol Krai signed an agreement on cooperation. In 2006 the first agricultural fair in Naur was held. Since that time it became a tradition. This time Chechen producers presented their products too. However, mutual interest of both regions is not limited by agriculture only. Cultural, sport and human relations play great role too.
In late 2010 in Ischerskaya village of Naurski region an Orthodox cathedral was reconstructed. It was built in 1770 within foundation of the village. Today there are 600 Orthodox followers in Ischerskaya. Soon in Naur village will be built one more Orthodox church within the framework of the Chechenya president programme on moral renaissance of the region residents.
The most significant event of 2010 was proclaiming of Naurski region to be the main building yard of Chechnya. The republican authorities divided the region on 14 sectors. Each of them will be headed by ministers and heads of departments. 135 facilities are going to be rebuilt. The central system of water supply and roads will be reconstructed at first instance. The sphere of culture is at the low level in the region. In Naur, Kalinovskaya, Levoberedjnoe, Ulyanovskoe and Novoje Solkushino villages five culture centers are on reconstruction. This work will enable diversification of cultural life in the region and help to strengthen moral values of people. The plan of reconstruction was agreed with the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov.
