Israel hasn’t stated its position to the results of the visit by the IAEA heal to Tehran. But the position will hardly differ from the opinion of the former head of military intelligence of Israel, General Igal Yadlin.

Speaking at the conference on air forces’ problems on May 22 in the Israeli city Herzliya, Yadlin said that the results of talks in Tehran were disappointing. He said even if 6 tons of uranium enriched up to 4.5% are seized from Iran, it will still have 20% uranium which is used for creation of a nuclear bomb. Moreover, Yadlin believes that until Iran has a nuclear facility in Kuma, its nuclear program will be safe, i.e. the facility should be closed.

“You need no to be a seer to predict that all efforts to find a compromise with Iran will fail,” Yadlin continues. “Therefore, we have no choice but to strike nuclear facilities of the Islamic Republic. But I’m sure that we can launch the strike only under support of the USA and the international society. It is important not only from tactical, but also strategic point of view. We should look to the future at least fo 10-15 years ahead. Even if our strike is highly successful and prevents the Iranian nuclear program, it doesn’t mean that Iran couldn’t return to the position in 3-4 years. Only is the international society supports Israel, our strike at Iranian nuclear facilities will be effective.”
