US President Barack Obama is going to visit Israel within next few days in order to discuss the situation surrounding the Iranian crisis and to elaborate a more or less certain plan of activities of the allies. According to experts, this visit may determine the future of the Middle east for the next 5-10 years.

Previous reports, according to which Obama will discuss with the Israeli authorities a posible way out of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, proved to be wrong. The US leader has made it perfectly clear that he had no propistions on the matter and that he supopiorted the Israel's position, according to which the talks should start with no preconditions.

The Palestinian authorities believe that this leaves no chance for success as no member of the centre-right Israeli cabinet is going to discuss possible concessions.

This brings us to the question, what will the US President come for. It's clear that the aim of the visit is not simply to congratulate Natanyahu on his victory at the recent elections. It's well-known that personal relations between Obama and Natanyahu are really bad. The US President said that he would visit Israel 'in order to listen to the opinion of the Israeli people'. But one can hardly imagine this happening.

Nonetheless, analysts believe that the Obama's visit will be a historic one since the political situation in the Middle East has changed dramatically. The revolutions in many Arabian countries, the expansion of Islamism in Egypt, Turkey, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, the civil war in Syria and the Iranian nuclear programme.

In such circumstances Israel remains the only true ally of the United States and President Obama has to admit it.
