The Association of Travel Agencies of Russia announced that the sale of package holidays to Egypt, where now there are about 50,000 Russians, is frozen. Washington is also concerned about the situation in North Africa - Republican Sen. John McCain has demanded to put an end to economic and military aid to Egypt. Relations between the EU and Cairo in light of the ongoing bloodshed in Egypt may also be reconsidered.

Meanwhile, in assessing the actions of the opposing sides in Egypt, Russian experts look deeper.

"Over a long period of social, political and economic development of Egypt, for the third time, The Muslim Brotherhood drastically and dramatically comes to the fore”, Advisor to the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Andrei Baklanov said. “This organization always appears when the country undergoes power crisis. Every political organization has a desire to get closer to the levers of state power. For the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood this phenomenon is sharpened. They were very actively doing it for the first time when the monarchy was nearing collapse, and then the military took power, and the period of mutual maneuvering with Nasser began. The second time took place when the Nasser regime began to crumble, and Sadat and his group were strengthened in power. And now we are witnesses to the third time, when the Mubarak regime also began to crumble, and again - the Muslim Brotherhood activated. They had a chance, and they did not use that chance. Their socio-economic vision has not given any recipes for the way out of the long economic stagnation. "

According to Baklanov, "within the organization there have always been two groups. One of the groups is professionally trained people; this was due to the fact that the Muslim Brotherhood conducted very intense propaganda among these professional groups. In Alexandria, right in front of our consulate general, there is a club of engineers. Everyone always knew that this is one of the hazards posed by the Muslim Brotherhood, and they operated there. But I knew many of those who came to this club. There were a lot of creative people, technical intelligentsia, intelligent people. Such people among those who supported the concept of the Muslim Brotherhood were numerous. There is another interesting point: these intellectuals, technically and economically developed people, were never able to come to the levers of power within the Muslim Brotherhood. Each time, especially - when the power was already approaching, the leading position was always grabbed by "professional politicians" - people who liked to talk about democracy and religion.

Since coming to power, in the first year, the only organization that Nasser did not ban was the Muslim Brotherhood. He received them a few times, met, and each time he came to sad conclusions that he will not be able to cooperate with them. And then went dramatic events occurred, they prepared a conspiracy against him to kill him, then they were banned, some of these people were hanged. As a result, they were left in the shade, but when history provided the Muslim Brotherhood with a chance to lead the country, the contingent of people who represented the president and his inner circle, they were not prepared to deal with technological and economic issues of governance and way out of the crisis. All this led to such a sad outcome. "

According to orientalist Alexander Ignatenko, "recently, Prime Minister of Egypt offered to define the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization and ban it, i.e. bring it out of the field of political action as an important figure. Legally, this process is not proclaimed, but in Cairo and in the province arrests of the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood at senior and middle level occur, and there are battles like those that took place in Cairo near the Al-Fatah.

Nowadays the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamist extremist and terrorist groups have in fact already launched a campaign of terror and civil war.

June 29, 2012, the day before the Supreme Military Council formally handed power to Mohammed Morsi as President, he spoke to his companions. It was a big rally in Tahrir Square. There he said that one of his main tasks, as he sees it, is to release from the U.S. prison Omar Abdel Rahman. This is a man who was the inspirer and organizer of the terrorist attack in New York against the World Trade Center. Morsi was propelled to the presidency not only by the Muslim Brotherhood, but also by all kinds of Islamist and terrorist groups.

In Egypt, a specific political system was formed that someone could even call extremist and terrorist one. Morsi, as president, announced an amnesty for all the people who were in cases involving terrorism. And these people were about 12,000. The territory of Egypt, Alexandria, not only the Sinai Peninsula, was infiltrated by groups that are closely linked to Al-Qaeda, in fact, those affiliated to Al-Qaeda. On the eve of the revolution in Egypt on June 30 there were 6,000,000 units of illegal weapons. "
