The Israeli Defense Forces reported that they had managed to intercept a large consignment of modern arms, which was sent from Iran to Gaza. The ship Klos C left Iran ten days ago and was attentively followed by the Navy of the IDF. On March 5th, at 5:30 am, soldiers of the special forces of the Israeli Army ‘Shaitet-13’ were ordered to board the ship, which was situated near the border between Sudan and Eritrea, 1500 km from Israel. Admiral Ram Roterberg, Commander of the Israeli Navy, headed the operation. During the whole operation it was in contact with Lieutenant General Beni Ganz, Head of the General Headquarters of the Israeli Army. The 17 members of the crew of the Klos C, citizens of various countries of the world, didn’t try to resist. Soon, Admiral Rotberg reported to the General Headquarters that the attack had led to no victims on either side, the ship was taken under control of Israeli salesmen and headed to Eilat. It is expected that the Klos C will arrive at the port of Eilat in three days.
During a preliminary survey of the ship it appeared that tens of tons of arms were stored aboard, including several tens of 302-M missiles made in Syria, their range capability, depending on a modification, varies from 90 to 200 km, a warhead’s weight is from 125 to 175 kg, its flight level is 1000 m. If such missiles got to terrorists from Gaza, it would change the current strategic balance in the region, as from Gaza 302-M missiles reach almost all corners of Israel, while their destruction force surpasses all missiles which have been used by Hamas previously.
According to preliminary data, the consignment of arms was initially taken from military supply depots of Syria to Iran, and then the Klos C had to take it to Port Sudan on the Red Sea, and after that it had to be transported to Gaza.
Precise information on the number and types of arms intercepted by Israel will be published when the ship arrives in Eilat. It is expected that the General Headquarters of the Israeli Defense Forces will organize an exhibition for journalists to demonstrate that Iran is still the main force which supports terrorism in the world.

Yesterday Iranian military men stated that information on sending a ship with arms for Palestinian militants aboard wasn’t true. “We deny the messages which have no grounds,” a representative of the Iranian military leadership told Al-Alam.
