Israeli addresses Kadyrov

Chechen Leader Ramzan Kadyrov condemned Israel for its attack in the Gaza Strip yesterday. “Innocent people are killed by Israeli bombs and shells. We express condolences to relatives of the deceased and urge everyone to back the people of Palestine! Israel shows unjustified cruelty again. Missiles launched from Palestine have caused Israel no harm. Counter-fire, however, kills hundreds of Palestinians. Israel kills children, defenseless women and the elderly. Over 400 people have died,” Ramzan Kadyrov said on one of his pages in social networks.

According to the Chechen leader, the U.S. and Europe are fine with that, they take no measures, although “the actions of Israel are state terrorism.”

“At the same time, the U.S. and its allies accuse Russia of all problems in Ukraine, pass economic sanctions against our country,” noted Kadyrov.

He reminded about the situation in Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Egypt “where Muslims fight each other.”

“They all claim that they are on the path of jihad. Jihad is not done that way. Education, culture, science, sports, spirituality should become our jihad,” emphasized Kadyrov.

After reading the message, Abraham Davydov, an activist of the mountain Jew community in Israel, an ex-resident of Chechnya, the head of the Aksakal Media Group, sent a letter to Ramzan Kadyrov.

“Dear Mr. President! Have been living in Israel for many years, I always tell everyone about your wisdom. You know best that peaceful people suffer the most from terrorism.

It is painful for me to read your statement because your people in Israel have been under attack of Hamas terrorists for over a decade. I really hope that you were misinformed. I invite you to my house so that you can see how hard we live under attacks, how hard it is to calm down children, mothers and sisters.

Peaceful citizens die, and it is painful but you either forget or are unaware that the Israeli Army does all it can to prevent deaths among the peaceful population in Israel and Gaza. But terrorists act villainously and hide behind peaceful residents in Gaza like cowardly jackals.

We are peaceful citizens too and we want a peaceful sky above. No one wants war, especially victims among the peaceful population (no matter what nation and religion they belong to) but we cannot live under attacks any more.

Do you consider the army protecting its people terrorists? How should we defend ourselves then? Should we form a guerilla movement and launch Grad and Qassam missiles at peaceful people, unaware what they hit a school, mosque or nursery?

Would you call such behaviour peaceful resistance rather than terrorism?!.. … The Israeli Army is not only freeing the people of Israel from terrorists but also the people of Palestine who have become a hostage of Hamas,” Davydov’s letter says.

Many Arab villages were attacked by missiles launched in Gaza. Abu Ghosh, a village populated by ethnic Chechens, is one of them. Two girls aged 11 and 13 from Beit Lahia, a Bedouin village, were gravely wounded. A 30-year-old man covering a child from a missile heading towards his home was killed in another Bedouin village.
