The French Air Forces attacked positions of the Islamic State in Iraq, while the USA attacked the terrorists in Syria. On the sidelines of the UN General Assembly the prime-minister of Iraq, Heydar al Abadi, stated that in return the IS was preparing terrorist attacks on the subways of Paris and New York. According to the chairman of the Islamic Committee of Russia, Heydar Jemal, Islamic State is becoming one of the small fronts which will later combine into a common big front of the third world war.
Jemal is sure that Islamic State is a new phenomenon: “It is the first step in an unprecedented direction. The phenomenon is much more complicated than Jabhat al-Nusra and similar organizations, which are well-known to experts. It is a phenomenon of political Islam, or to be more precise, of political jihad.
The jihad which we have seen before had a theological character. Jabhat al-Nusra provided a theological jihad, which was a struggle against evil as realized by members of the movement, where they saw it, considering the necessity of establishing Sharia as a system of laws, leading to justice. This is a purely theological jihad, which has no political connotation.”
The chairman of the Islamic Committee of Russia says that the Islamic State managed to unite against itself such incompatible elements, which seemed to be firmly on opposite sides of the barricades: “It is a rare thing when 40 entities which hate each other are united in a common front against one enemy. I think Islamic State is the first experience, the first step in the direction. Its destiny is not clear yet, but in fact it is part of a big destabilization, which firmly leads us toward a third world war. It is one of the small fronts which later will integrate into a common big front.”
Jemal doesn’t believe that the group is organized and controlled by the United States: “Yes, they conspire, try to use the organization, try to tail it, give it money or make other forces give it money. But in fact the United States is a deadly enemy in the region, as well as the enemies of Europe, which they try to occupy, and they are enemies of Russia. The strangest thing is that they managed to gather a coalition of subjects whose interests are not in cooperation with the U.S. There is no end of trouble. There is an iron-clad rule – an enemy of my enemy is my friend. But it seems this doesn’t work these days, as there are some secret forces which cancel the fundamental rules of diplomacy and big politics. I think that everybody from Russia to Greece is making a mistake in supporting the U.S. on their criminal path.”
As for the consequences of the growing threat to the world, Heydar Jemal thinks that it is dangerous not only to Europe, where the Ukrainian crisis is taking place, but also for China: “There are not 15 million Muslim Uigurs, but many more. There are 50 millions Chinese Muslims alone, not the Uigurs. According to some data, the number is bigger. There are 50 million traditional Muslims who are called the Dungans. But today many Chinese are converting to Islam. Plus, it combines with sharp social confrontations inside China.”
