Philosophy has always been considered as a discipline of intellectuals, but nobody questions its role in the development of social thought and the prevention of war and violence, religious and ethnic hatred.
The Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy of Moscow State University, Alexey Kozyrev, offers "to tie the Russian world, the Azerbaijani and German worlds through the idea of humanism". "When people ask me what is the Russian idea, I try to ignore all the geopolitical background, the Eurasian idea, because in general I am not very committed to this opposition, when they say: "There is a western rationalist epistemology, philosophy, and the metaphysics of the East is the philosophy of the heart, intuition, speculation." The origin of our thought is in the Greek philosophy, the philosophy of Plato and Aristotle, which then, of course, became specified in the western paradigm, scholasticism, and modern philosophy, and the philosophy of the Byzantine and Russian Wisdom. But what lies at the heart of this paradigm? This is the idea of proportionality, educational rights in accordance with certain ideas, ideals, the ideal model," Kozyrev says.
According to him, "In this respect, our culture, the culture of the Greek-European world, has common roots. A wonderful representative of Russian humanism, Vyacheslav Ivanov, for three years was a professor at Baku University. Baku was once a great school of antiquity. Professor Makovelsky also worked at Baku University. Therefore, Azerbaijan is a part of the ecumene, which belongs not only to the East, not only to Asia, but also to the Mediterranean basin, to the source of Greek culture. We can say today that the dawn of culture in Azerbaijan is connected to these values of Greek-European culture."
"Vyacheslav Ivanov said that humanism is about ethical and aesthetic standards, measuring the individual within his humanity. Today, all these limits of humanity are struggling to destroy the globalizing culture. A person can change everything, a person can change his or her sex and face. The worst thing - a person becomes a commodity. Human organs are being sold, as well as human beings themselves. Countries with weaker economic development deliver their girls as human commodity to richer countries. Human life, conscience and human dignity are on sale. Today, therefore, we must stand up for human nature. There is a common value, although there are differences in Protestantism, Islam, Orthodoxy. However, we understand that a person is what 9must be protected and saved today," Kozyrev says.
