American independent newspaper The National Interest wrote today about global problems caused by the confrontation between the United States and Russia. Poorly structured decision-making processes, conflicting goals and divergent opinions lead to such a situation in the world and the balance of power is changing. None of the parties can agree on a compromise, as the US cannot accept failure in its foreign policy, and Russia will not tolerate interference in the internal affairs of bordering countries. However, there still remains the possibility of resolving the crisis through diplomatic means.
The allegation that it is actually a threat by the United States against Russia has no foundation, and is not backed up by any diplomatic or any other arguments. Starting a war with Russia, too, does not make sense, since the military-technical potential of America will not be enough for another international conflict. In addition, some senators in Congress propose military intervention in Iran, but when you consider that Tehran and Moscow have embarked on convergence, the impossibility of military escalation becomes obvious.
The international information portal OpEdNews.com published today an article about the most common myths about Russia in the Western media. According to the source, the first myth says that many Russians dream of leaving their homeland. But in fact, Russia is second only to the US in the number of immigrants. In fact, one of the important issues of domestic policy of Russia today is the issue of immigration and how to cope with it. And only 5% of the population think about moving from Russia.
The second myth of the Western media is that Russia is on the verge of collapse. However, according to recent studies, despite the sanctions Russia is a much more sustainable state in economic terms than many Western countries. The harsh climate and the history of the many attempts to conquer the territory of Russia led to the fact that the population of the country are prepared for a crisis and very easily manages all economic fluctuations, while maintaining the pride of their country.
The third myth is that Russians are jealous of Americans. That's what they say in the Western media about the feelings of the inhabitants of Russia toward the United States. In fact, Russia has a richer and more complex culture and history, in addition, the history of the Russian state compared to the usa is at least four times longer. Russia's success, even through the period of Stalin's regime, was much higher than the US, even if we take the process of industrialization. Education in the Russian Federation is significantly better than education in the United States, and President Putin's rating is much higher compared with Obama’s.
The Western media, which is trying to tarnish the image of Russia, cannot argue too long with the obvious facts. Despite the negative attitude of the West, Moscow continues to strengthen its position in the world.
The New York Post reported today that Iran is becoming arrogant in the eyes of the West. The timeout in the negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program provides a break for the negotiating countries, which is needed for a final decision. And if the West still hesitates and cannot reach a consensus on the lifting of sanctions against Iran, the leaders of the Republic have clearly defined its position.
Iran's foreign minister said that Iran is ready to take 11 major steps to help resolve the issue over the nuclear program of the country. However, even this is not enough for the Western countries, who believe that Iran wants to deceive the whole world in his quest to build nuclear weapons.
The fact is, the West is looking for any excuse to accuse Iran of hypocrisy. How long this diplomatic standoff will continue is still unknown, but we must pay tribute to Iran, which defends its position and at the same time skillfully deters the aggression of the West.
