Russian bikers from the Night Wolves motorcycle club have begun a rally from Moscow to Berlin, which is devoted to Victory Day, even though Poland has forbidden them from entering the country. The route should have passed through Belarus, Poland, Austria, Czech, and Slovakia. The authorities of Poland and Germany banned the Night Wolves from visiting the countries. However, Polish friends of the Night Wolves decided to help the Russian bikers and travel the route of the Victory. They were surprised that the authorities were afraid of a few bikers and didn’t let them visit the graves of their grandparents.
President Vladimir Putin awarded Alexander Zaldostanov, the head of the bike club, the Order of Honor for his “active work for patriotic education of young people, participation in searching work and commemorating the killed defenders of the Homeland.” Last summer the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov became a member of the Night Wolves.
Alexander Zaldostanov, aka "The Surgeon", told Vestnik Kavkaza: “’Today, on the eve of the 70th anniversary of the Victory, I have an opportunity to thank all the people of the Caucasus. First of all, for their support and assistance in the Russian spring of 2014. It was a very significant time for me. And I remember the moment when all the people of the Caucasus, as soon as something began to threaten our country, united in order to provide their help. And this humanitarian aid, delivered to Sevastopol for the first time, was sent by the Caucasian republics.”

Recently the Night Wolves organized a motor rally in the North Caucasus in honor of the ‘Wild Division.’
“When I visited the North Caucasus I was very surprised, but the word surprised is wrong to express those emotions that I felt. When we visited the republics of the North Caucasus, we thought: what patriotic people are there! It seems to me that this part of our country is a super Division, which is ready to fight, if necessary, for our victory, and for our country. The North Caucasus republics are a part of our country that Russia can rely on. I am deeply convinced of this now,” Zaldostanov said.
