Summer camps for children are now opened for a new season in Ingushetia. There are four camps in the republic, in each of them children can spend three weeks of their school vacations. In addition there are several schools offering their students some kinds of activity during the summer vacations.
It is not only governmental bodies trying to organize interesting activities for children. Non-governmental organizations are also doing their best to help children have a nice time during the summer vacations. For instance, the Alkham Aligoyev Foundation, that was established in order to support refugees, launched a special program aimed at helping children from poor families to visit summer camps.
Ingush children do not only stay in summer camps situated in the republic, but also travel to other regions of Russia. For example, a group of 80 children has recently left for Voronezh, where they will stay at the Burevestnik summer camp. 50 Caucasian children were invited to the camp the previous year but didn’t manage to travel to Voronezh due to severe forest fires. This year the Voronezh authorities invited 80 children.
Local entrepreneurs and representatives of the Ingush diaspora in other regions also try to help Ingush children. Businessmen Ahmed Malsagov and Savarbek Dzaurov paid for railway tickets for the children from Maysky village so that they will be able to travel to Burevestnik.
Moreover, even foreign non-governmental organizations are trying to help Ingush children from poor families to have a good time during the summer holidays. The US International Life Institution gave four Ingush children a chance to visit North America.
