Seven people died and 25 were injured in a traffic accident in Georgia, including nationals of Georgia, Armenia and Turkey.Police arrested a Turkish driver.
The accident happened in Guria, not far from the district center of Lanchkhuti, on the central highway of Tbilisi-Batumi. A minibus from Batumi to Tbilisi crashed into a jeep carrying a family from Turkey: father (driver), his wife and children aged 14 and 6. The minibus turned over. A Yerevan-Batumi bus failed to stop and crashed into the jeep and the minibus. 7 people died in the minibus. Passengers of the bus to Adjaria received injuries.
The police blame Turkish driver Yunus Kutar, who is suspected of violating traffic rules. The jeep driver says his car was hit from the back and went off the road.
