The Director General of Vestnik Kavkaza, Ismail Agakishiyev, has signed a contract with leading Russian-language media in Israel

The Director General of the most prominent Russian-language web-portal Zahav.ru, Harry Reznikovsky, the Director General of the publishing house Mirvori, Yonatan Mishiyev, the representative of the Aksakal Media Group, Avraham Davydov, and the Editor-in-Chief of the publishing house Novosti Nedeli, Leonid Belotserkovski, signed the contract.

In order to let our readers understand the role of VK’s new partners in the Israeli media sphere, we should note that the publishing house Novosti Nedeli is a part of the Israeli News media group, which includes popular Israeli channels and broadcasting stations, the English-language newspaper “Jerusalem Post”, the daily newspaper “Megapost”, a network of local Hebrew-language newspapers and several magazines.

According to the contract, the sides have the right to use information published by each other and to exchange information which is attractive for readers and lets the publishers review Israeli, Russian, Middle Eastern and Caucasian news extensively and impartially

Ronen Plot, the Director General of the Ministry of Information and Diasporas, who was present at the subscription, noted that the contract with such a growing Internet portal as Vestnik Kavkaza is quite important for Israel.

“It is a known fact that Israel is forced to fight an information war. On the one hand, there is a lot of false information invented against our country. On the other hand, the lack of true information about the situation in Israel is obvious. That’s why it is very important for us to sign such contracts and agreements with Russian media and other ones in order to have more true facts about Israel published. We want people to know that our main occupation is not making war but living our life and working hard; we have got not only a military industry but a high-tech, progressive pharmaceutical industry, an electronics industry and other branches of industry and a developed agricultural sector. We want people to know that we want to make peace with our neighbors and to invite them to visit our country. We don’t want anybody to invent anything; all we want is the publishing of true information about us,” Ronen Plot said.

Answering this speech, the Director General of Vestnik Kavkaza, Ismail Agakishiyev, noted: “For the first time I am in Israel, where there are more than million of our former compatriots who are called “Russians”. They remember where they were born and grew up. They love their homeland, as much as we do. The fact that nowadays they live far away from it has reinforced their love. They have done a lot for their homeland, and we need to use this potential for the sake of the good reputation of our country, Russia, in order to reflect real life in Israel, Russia and the countries of the Southern Caucasus”.

During private talks, Mister Plot noted that, taking into consideration modern day-to-day realities, the Ministry of Information and Diaspora cooperates actively with Internet portals and not with newspapers or magazines; as a consequence, he considers the contract with Vestnik Kavkaza to be quite significant.

At the same time, several representatives of the Israeli media said that the contract with Vestnik Kavkaza actually consolidates their cooperation with this portal, which began long ago when they noticed it for the first time and began publishing VK materials referring to it.

After signing the contract, all the participants of it expressed their hope that the cooperation between Israeli media and Vestnik Kavkaza will contribute not only to the readers’ interest in them, but also to reaching a new level of Russian-Israeli cooperation in the field of media.
