More than 5 million rubles were gathered within the charity event “Touch Child’s Heart” in Nazran. The head of the republic, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, took part in the action and gave children suffering from cardiovascular events his month salary – 87 thousand rubles.
Guests from Moscow came to the stadium of a school where the arrangement took place right from the airport: doctors of Bakulev Cardiovascular Surgery Research Center. Professor Sergey Nikonov said that “The project “Touch Child’s Heart” is implemented for more than 10 years, and it would be impossible without support of regions.” Vice-president of The Nations’ Health League, Nikolay Kononov, recalled that the project was initiated in 1999 when many young mothers abandon children with cardiovascular events.
“Thanks to a great person – Leo Bakeria – we cure our children,” Yevkurov said. According to him, the concert was continuation of arrangements devoted to the 20th anniversary of Ingushetia. “The whole year is anniversary for the republic… This year we plan projects on support of old men suffering from eye cataract. We have already signed agreements with prominent specialists in this sphere.”
The main cardiologist of Ingushetia, Radimkhan Zurabova, said that about 300 children suffer from congenital heart disorder in the republic. 170 out of them have undergone surgeries which were financed by the federal budget. At the moment 50 children need surgeries. Yong Adam Timerbiyev who lives and studies in Moscow gave all his savings to sick children. He gave his money-box to the fund “Myal” in the stadium. Yunus-Bek Yevkurov named the boy Person of Year in Ingushetia.
