"Seliger" shared ideas with Rosmolodezh

The last session of the youth forum “Seliger” will end on August 2. This year, the leader of the "Left Front" Sergei Udaltsov was going to come to the forum, but he changed his decision due to new arrests on charges of rioting in the Bolotnaya square. However, before the delegates of the forum the former co-owner of "Euroset" Chichvarkin, who lives now in London, appeared. He wore a T-shirt with a picture of two masks in the form of temples with slits for eyes, and said that a person could be imprisoned only for a crime against the person. In this way Chichvarkin expressed his support to the members of Pussy Riot, charged with disorderly conduct for their performance at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. The authorities were most clearly represented by the ex-foreman of Uralvagonzavod and the current presidential envoy Igor Kholmanskikh who tried to explain: "To be a worker is not shameful. It is not second grade. It is quite honorary, modern and cool. "

The organizers of the forum seem to be happy. According to the head of the Federal Agency on Youth Affairs Sergey Belokonev, "the elaboration of the work with young people and public policy for youth in general is more and more important. Federal Agency plans to develop this direction, primarily by working with the regions. I want the opportunities which we see at the forum "Seliger" to be presented to young people in the Russian regions during this year; these people are engaged with their universities, they live in different cities, even if in small or rural areas. For this purpose, we will certainly use the opportunity provided by the new position of the Federal Agency that is now in the Ministry of Education. Now we have, perhaps, more direct access to Russian universities. We will more actively provide all the projects represented at the forum or most of them in the Russian universities. Such decisions were made when the Education Minister Dmitry Livanov visited the forum on housing and utilities, for example. We are planning to create several centers in Russian universities, which would carry out the training of young people for the sphere of public utilities. I would point out the same thing in the framework of the project "You are an entrepreneur." We expect Russian universities to become the base where the youth will be more actively prepared and involved in entrepreneurial activity.

To intensify our work with young people at the governmental level, we add several priorities to the work of Federal Agency. The first of them is to work with the14-18-year-old audience, young people who are studying in senior school; several projects will be proposed at the end of this year. In particular, we would like to develop children recreation zones at a new level, especially concerning the children's activitie, which now exists in Russia; sometimes the program of the sessions have not been changed for decades. As for the opportunities of working with young talented people which the forum "Seliger" provides today, we may now give them to the more younger children for different purposes, including ensuring that they will gain as many as possible managerial skills and become able to be masters of themselves, to lead a group, to build a team. We want them to get better acquainted with different directions, for instance, with robotics, if we talk about youth involvement in innovation, or guidance, if we say that our country needs more engineers, or programming, or the work of patriotic clubs, etc.

Another direction that we wish to develop in the future is to pay more attention to young people who have already graduated from college, who work in various enterprises and organizations. Of course, we will actively support councils of young specialists of enterprises. There are some sectors where it is being done quite successfully. I have recently once again learned from the experience of the state corporation «Rosatom», visiting the forum "Forsyth" in the Kaluga region. We are planning to use technologies which are used in the work with the young professionals of the group of companies "RUSAL" or "Basic Element".

And, of course, we should pay our attention to young people who get blue-collar jobs, people who have vocational education; we will also support the initiatives of regional competitions for the professional skills in the areas of professions that are currently relevant for our regions, including those professions which have already been known for a long time.
