"Seliger" in Pyatigorsk

Medvedev and Khloponin to visit the ‘Caucasian House-2010’Youth educational camp ‘Caucasian House-2010’, able to accommodate 1000 people, will function from 7th to 27th August on the Mashuk Mountain in Pyatigorsk. The camp has all necessary equipment for sports and educational activities. As the head of the project, Maxim Abrahimov, announced, that this new initiative, like the ‘Seliger’ youth camp, was proposed by Dmitry Medvedev and supported by young activists.
During their sojourn in the camp, young active people will present their ideas and projects, concerning science and economy development in Russia, to an expert commission. However the very possibility of communication between young people from all regions of North Caucasus, Abkhazia and South Ossetia is even more important. This camp is expected to be a place, where all talented people, no matter what their nationality or religion is, have equal chances for support and understanding, said Mr Abrahimov.
There will be two sessions, from 8th to 18th and from 18th to 27th August. The camp’s educational activity is divided into several branches: sociology, arts, business, journalism, sport.
The educational program contains five sections: four educational and one athletic. Some courses are lectured by distinguished specialists from Sholokhov Moscow State University for Humanities and North Caucasus institutions of higher education.
Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Khloponin and other officials plan to visit the camp. Over 50 prize-winning projects, worked out by camp participants, will be financed by the government.
