On June 16, the foundation "The Elbrusoid Support for Karachai-Balkar youth" celebrated its 10th anniversary. One of the most successful national organizations of Moscow is active in community activities and has implemented dozens of successful projects. The motto of "Elbrusoid" is as follows: "Pure intentions - good deeds." It was taught by the foundation to its countrymen coming to the capital. Work with young people is given the utmost importance in "Elbrusoid": free admission to museums, theaters, meetings with famous people, aid in the study of the native language, organization of concerts at the best venues in Moscow. This and more is done by "Elbrusoid" for students. Today, on the basis of the foundation there are a publishing house, a cultural dance studio, a music studio, a library, a sports club and a documentary studio.
“Elbrusoid”’s anniversary was celebrated at a solemn ceremony at the site of Crocus City Hall. The event was attended by over two thousand people, including representatives of the Presidential Administration, representatives of North Caucasus Federal District, deputies of the State Duma, prominent public and cultural figures. Even on the day of the anniversary, "Elbrusoid" did not forget about the youth. The best graduates of Moscow universities were awarded medals and gifts. The students were congratulated by pop stars, dance groups and prominent public figures.
Foundation President Ali Totorkulov wished them great success: “This great hall is named after Muslim Magomayev. This is a man who attained the greatest heights of his profession. The people of Azerbaijan, the entire Caucasus, all of Russia are naturally proud of him. And I want to wish that you, too, could reach such heights so that we, the Karachai-Balkar people, could be proud of you, as well as the entire Caucasus and the whole of Russia.”
The head of the Republic of Karachay-Cherkessia praised the performance of "Elbrusoid": “We have a multi-ethnic country, the multinational Caucasus. Today, the foundation shows that it has grown out of that format about two nationalities. Although the foundation attached to this great importance initially, today we see the results of this work, patriotic education, language, culture - these are the things without which no nation can live. The fact that today's youth is involved in all these processes says that Karachai-Balkar young people have a very good future,” Rashid Temrezov said.
