Mashuk youth forum begins in Pyatigorsk

Participants and organizers look forward to greeting top officials from all over the North Caucasus

Today is the opening day of the youth forum “Mashuk-2010”. Similar to “Seliger-2010”, this forum will gather together young people interested in politics, economy, innovations, and social projects from all over the North Caucasus. The Governor of the Stavropol Territory, Valery Gaevsky, and the head of the Federal Agency for youth issues of the , Vasily Yakimenko will attend the forum as special guests.

The aim of the forum is to give young people a chance to show their talents and realize their ambitions, help creative youngsters to find those who hold the same views, to establish useful co-operation with people of different nationalities, beliefs and cultural identity. The forum will stimulate the social development and youth activities, believe the organizers.

The forum is supported by top officials from all parts of the North Caucasus Federal District. The forum will be attended by such statesmen as North Caucasus Federal District Presidential Envoy Alexander Khloponin, President of Karachai-Cherkessia Boris Ebseev, President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, and the heads of the other Caucasian republics.

Members were invited to the forum within the framework of a special sphere: young opinion leaders, young entrepreneurs, social leaders, activists and volunteers, people engaged in the sphere of arts and culture, journalists and bloggers, athletes, technical creativity teams, young teachers and students of local history.

The forum will host seminars, workshops and meetings with major representatives of regional political and business elites, as well as people working in the spheres of culture, sports, public sector and traditional denominations. Participants will take part in three training courses, namely "Project Management", "Efficient Communication" and "Intercultural communication".  The 50 best projects of the participants will be financed as part of of a grant system. The total grant fund amounts to 10 million rubles.
