The Moscow Hose of Nationalities saw ‘Autumn Colors’

Last week a gala night ‘Autumn Colors’ took place in Moscow, devoted to the 15th anniversary of the Moscow House of Nationalities. Representatives of various nations and generations, who contributed to building inter-ethnic consent in Moscow and preserved traditions of their peoples, got together in Moscow on Novaya Basmannaya Street.
Nikolai Komarov, Director of the Moscow House of Nationalities, awarded representatives of ethnic social organizations, ethnic-cultural autonomies of Moscow, heads of dancing and musical groups, experts in the sphere of inter-ethnic relations with Badges of Honor, certificates, and gifts. “We are a big strong family. Despite all disputes, difficult situations in Moscow, the House of Nationalities will be one of reasonable people who understand that only the variety of nations in Russia is its strength and greatness,” Komarov said.
He told Vestnik Kavkaza that “the Moscow House of Nationalities was founded in 1998 by a governmental order. Today it fulfills various functions in the sphere of inter-ethnic unity, inter-ethnic cooperation, and establishing of an atmosphere of peace in Moscow, the capital of our motherland. We do our best; establish comfortable conditions for people of various nations, who live in Moscow. There are 163 nationalities in Moscow; and all Diasporas, ethnic social entities, ethnic-cultural autonomies of Moscow can find here a place where they can discuss their problems, participate in round tables and explain verity of their cultures, which unites our capital, to Moscow residents through their culture, traditions, and customs.”
The head of the press service of the Russian Congress of the Caucasus Peoples, Asya Israilova, noted that “today some people underestimate the achievements of the House of Nationalities. We will understand them in the future, how important they are for us. The House of Nationalities is home for people of different generations – young and old.”
