Merab Jordania has bought "Vitesse" football club

Merab Jordania, a scandalous ex-president of the Georgian Football Federation, has recently bought the Dutch football club "Vitesse". Jordania was arrested soon after the Rose Revolution when President Mikhail Saakashvili started his campaign against corruption. Eventually, Jordania escaped trial by paying millions of dollars to the Government.

After that Jordania was certain that he could do whatever he wanted and refused a place in the stadium to the Minister of Sport. This was considered to be an action against the President and Jordania was arrested again. This time money didn't help him and he was forced to leave the country.

Merab Jordania is now at the center of a new row, having bought the Dutch football club "Vitesse". Some experts believe that the real purchaser is none other than Roman Abramovich. Whatever the case, Jordania is the new president of the club.
