Intellectual integration in the North Caucasus

Youth camps try to prove their worth
"The North Caucasus in a multi-national region where tolerance and patriotism should be promoted both at school and at home. That is an issue of no small importance when we speak about the education of the new generation", the president of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, said.

On the initiative of the government, the North Caucasus became the center of the intellectual integration of the young people. In the framework of the program launched by the administration of the Presidential Envoy in the North Caucasus Federal District several youth forums took place in the region.

Youth forums in Dombay, Adygei and the most significant forum "Mashuk-2010" in Pyatigorsk have shown that there are a lot of young people in Russia who are interested in the social and political life of their country, and are ready to work on different projects, as well as make useful propositions.

 According to sociologists, young people are more active economically and more career-oriented and that's why it's much easier to draw their attention to the most acute problems of social life. The question is whether it can really help the government to improve the situation in the region or not.
