The Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AYOR) has recently held the Dialogue and Action congress in Moscow. During the 7 years of its existence AMOR opened more than 70 regional offices, united the young activists across the country. During this time,the body held many activities of intellectual, cultural and sporting character.
"7 years have passed since the establishment of AMOR. Our organization has already realized a number of successful projects and achieved its main goal. From the outset, our goal was to combine the Azerbaijani youth, to help them to integrate into the Russian society and to support all the plans and ideas in order to help them in their studies and in other areas and to do everything so that we, the Azerbaijani youth living in Russia, could adequately represent the rich culture, the ancient history and traditions of our country," says the chairman of AMOR Leyla Aliyeva.
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Russia Polad Bulbuloglu addressed the assembvly with a speech. "This is a public organization that unites the Azerbaijanis living in Russia, and provides them with the opportunity to learn more about their homeland, to communicate with their peers. You integrate into the Russian society, which for us is very important. you are the people who have two homelands - Russia, where you live, learn and work, and, of course, the historical Motherland - Azerbaijan, where, perhaps, some of you have not been born, but where your parents and grandparents have been born. Believe me, that genetic memory is transmitted to humans all that has been accumulated by the previous generation," he said.
"The greatness of Russia is determined by the human potential. The fact that over the centuries we have been able to preserve national languages (their are more than 200 of them), the culture of nations and peoples, who live in Russia, is indeed remarkable. I am very grateful to the organization for all the good deeds you have done in our common homeland - Russia. Because you are building the XXI century Russia, you develop relations between Russia and Azerbaijan, you eliminate all the problems that emerged after the destruction of the Soviet Union and resulted into chronic conflicts. This is the burden our generation is suffering from. Right now we cannot find solutiuons to many problems, but we believe that you will settle all the things that we have not finished, that you will cope with this problem," said Senator Igor Morozov.
