The Russian Football Premier League begins the contest Miss Premier League 2012 for girl-fans. “Our fans looks like fashion models. They are the best of our football. Our super-championship is in full play, and it is great that this spring along with beautiful football we see beautiful nice girls and women at our stadiums. We have summed up last year experience. This year we want to give the contest a new impulse. More and more girls would come to stadiums. It will give our football a zest,” the executive director of the RFPL Sergey Cheban said.
The initiator of the contest Maria Makarenko said that “every girl can attend the web-site and register there. Then, we will choose competitors for the finale, which will take place in June. Girls shouldn’t necessary have a fashion icon appearance. This contest is for fans, we have no priority in 90-60-90. We want to make a bright festival.”
“I thought it would be an ordinary contest, where you perform and leave. But in reality there were many trainings and rehearsals,” Miss Premier League 2011 remembers. “It was very interesting. And we were consolidated by the contest. I think it is one of the most important factors. I believe every competitor gained something new for her.”
“I’m a fan of the Moscow club Dynamo, but earlier I lived in Perm. After participation in this contest I moved to Moscow. That’s how my life has changed,” Miss Dynamo Maria Patrusheva.
Sergey Cheban stated that “we have one key criterion – to be a fan of a club playing in Premier League, no matter where you are from. Dynamo was presented by Perm, Tula presented Spartak. A girl from any region can sent an application. We follow democratic principles. A girl chooses her photo by her own. Girls express their individuality, we had many creativity competitions. A girl could choose a direction and actualize her skills. It was very interesting.”
As for a contest for male fans, Cheban said: “We wish the atmosphere at stadiums were different; obscene words disappeared. But it is a difficult process. We wish a person understood that for any peace-breaking he would incur responsibility. A lot is being done in this sphere. We hope the situation would change for the best after adoption of a new law, where behavior rules for fans would be written. At the same time, look what an interesting competition is taking place at the moment. Many people, who haven’t attended stadiums for years, come to stadiums today. We follow the statistics. Even though the mass media says number of fans is reducing, it is not true. About 12-13 thousand fans attend stadiums in average. We improve comfortable conditions. Look at Dynamo stadium: advertisement, interesting pictures on the scoreboard, hot drinks for fans. The stadium is filling by people. CSKA has an interesting decision: advertisement attraction, various promotion campaigns. Kuban is developing the whole concept of using the scoreboard in off-advertising time. We’ll see what it would be like. After sometime we will turn back and see that we have passed a great path and have really changed the situation.
The finale is the most important thing. We like the process of socialization people: as soon as she publishes her application at the web-site, she becomes our society. Read girls’ diaries! It is very interesting. They discuss football, tactics, strategies – purely football things. It is important, as when a new side of life opens, no matter football, hockey or painting, it is great; as a person opens new horizons. We support any initiative. Girls suggested us this project and we responded immediately. The most important thing for us is establishing conditions. It is great that people are involved. A lot of know-how was born during our conversations. The principle is simple: a girl attends our web-site and register. She picks up photos and downloads them. She fills an application form. People, who attend this portal, vote for it from round to round. There are clubs, where it is a tradition, for example, one of Samara teams. The more a girl is involved into the football sphere, the more it is interesting for her. We are happy about it. It is great, when it’s interesting.”
