Anzhi continues to buy stars

The player of Inter and the national football team of the Netherlands, Wesley Sneijder, has been interesting Russian clubs for a long time. In early 2012 it was reported that Zenit and Anzhi aim to buy the Dutch player. But the head coach of the Milan club, Claudio Ranieri, commenting on the transfer of Sneijder, said: “Would Sneijder play in Anzhi? I don’t think so. I hope Wesley agrees with me. Recently I’ve talked to Sneijder and he said he was happy in our club. The point is Wesley has to keep fit.”

However, in late March Ranieri left Inter, and the club will discuss with Anzhi the possibility of selling Sneijder to the Dagestani club. The Italian mass sports media reports that this season Sneijder isn’t playing well, moreover, the club needs money in the context of its probable failure to play in the Champions League.

Zenit isn’t retreating and wants to purchase the Dutchman too. The head coach, Luciano Spalletti, is impressed by Sneijder’s playing, and the club is ready to pay 25 million euros for him. However, the Italian mass media thinks Anzhi has more chances.

It is reported that Sneijder doesn’t mind playing in Anzhi. The money paid for the player of the Netherlands national team will be spent on purchasing several new players.
