The new national gymnastics arena, which will host the European Championship in Rhythmic Gymnastics from June 13-15, is ready for the events, Vice President of the Azerbaijani Gymnastics Federation, Altay Hasanov, said on Saturday, Day.Az reports referring to Trend.
Hasanov thanked President Ilham Aliyev for the construction of this beautiful building.
Hasanov noted that the Organizing Committee of the championship is headed by the president of the World Gymnastics Federation of Azerbaijan, Mehriban Aliyeva.
"The Working Group of the Organizing Committee is subdivided into a number of subgroups. There is a department for placement, marketing, volunteers, health services, security services, as well as a department responsible for the course of the competition and the press department," Altay Hasanov said.
As a result of the European Championship in Baku, licences to participate in the European games will be distributed.
Altay Hasanov expressed gratitude to all the partners of the upcoming European Championship. "I would like to tell fans that competitions will be held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the beautiful National Gymnastics Arena. Our gymnasts need more support from their fans. I urge all fans to support our athletes at this competition," he said.
