A ceremony has been held in Rome to present the Baku-2015 European Games. It was organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the embassy of Azerbaijan to Italy. Guests of the presentation viewed an exhibition of bronze statues by Azerbaijani sculptors. The exhibition 'We Are Together', which is devoted to the European Games, featured over 20 works related to various types of sport.
Various editions, discs, and other materials on the history, culture, art and cuisines of Azerbaijan were also presented. Guests who watched the presentation came to the conclusion that holding the Games in Azerbaijan, a country of ancient history, rich culture and traditions, a tolerant atmosphere and hospitability, would be important for the whole world.
The European Games will take place in Baku from June 12th to June 28th 2015. These will be the first European Games in history. More than six thousand athletes will compete in 16 Olympic and 4 non-Olympic kinds of sport.

Azerbaijan's first lady, the chairperson of the Baku 2015 European Games Organizing Committee, Mehriban Aliyeva, addressed the ceremony, after which guests watched a film about the preparations for Baku-2015 in the capital of Azerbaijan.
Italian Minister of Education, Universities and Research Stefania Giannini, the President of the European Olympic Committees Patrick Hickey, the President of the Italian National Olympic Committee Giovanni Malago, the Rome Mayor Ignazio Marino gave high evaluations if the preparations for the Games. The President of the European Olympic Committees, Patrick Hickey, presented Azerbaijan's first lady Mehriban Aliyeva with a keepsake marking the start of the 100-day countdown to Baku-2015.
