CSKA spoil Zenit's triumph

To win current the Russian Football Cup, Zenit St. Petersburg had to tie the game with Moscow CSKA. However, the guests played better than Zenit's players on all counts. Experts say that a significant role was played by the technical methods of the young CSKA coach, Leonid Slutsky. Moreover, outstanding play was shown by the forward of the Moscow team, Vagner Lav. The score was 3:1 in favour of CSKA.

After the match, Leonid Slutsky stressed that the first goal was a crucial moment. CSKA were ahead and could fulfil its tactics. Zenit's coach, Lucciano Spalletti, had to apologize to their fans for the loss. He also remarked on the brilliant play of his rivals.

Meanwhile, sporting experts began to talk about the deposition of Spalletti, notwithstanding the fact that Zenit almost won the Cup. The reason is not only the loss of the game against the CSKA, but also defeats by Spartak Moscow and Auxerre of France. Spalletti is said to lose principal games.
