The North Caucasus tourist cluster continues its extension. Now Ingushetia has joined the ambitious project. On December 29th the government of Russia adopted an act on establishing of the tourist-recreation special economic zone in Dzhejrakh and Sunzhen regions of Ingushetia. “The Ingush project perfectly complies limited volumes of the federal support, which are defined by the governmental act approving the cluster,” the deputy minister of economic development of Russia, Oleg Savelyev, said.
The total volume of investment will be 100 billion rubles. Around 60% of them are private investments, and 40% - budget investments. Budget financing will be spent on construction of infrastructure, roads, sporting facilities, cable-railways, while investors will finance hotels and the residential fund. According to the head of Ingushetia, Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, the project of development of the tourist cluster will be fulfilled step by step during 10 years. Majority of resources will be invested into the mountain-recreation centers Armakhi and Tsori in Dzhejrakh region. They will be year-round mountain-skiing resorts with capacity of welcoming 28,000 tourists daily.
The group of companies Acropolis headed by the senator from Ingushetia, Akhmet Polnokoyev, stated about its participation in the project. It intends to invest more than 27 billion rubles. The project of mountain-skiing resorts of Ingushetia will pay off in 15 years.
Battle and residential towers of Dzheirakh region will be reconstructed. Special hotels, rehabilitation centers will be built for people with disabilities. As for security of tourists, experts think almost the best security environment in the North Caucasus is provided in Dzhejrakh region of Ingushetia, as the region is a part of the frontier zone. Even a bird cannot fly here behind border patrol’s back. In recent years Dzhejrakh region is the calmest place in the region.
Development of tourism is the republic is obvious for experts. Ingushetia has all necessary resources: historic monuments, unique natural parks, mountains and national features.
