At the Sochi-2010 forum Russia and Abkhazia signed an agreement concerning the border checkpoints. The agreement provides for establishment of multilateral auto, pedestrian, cargo and pedestrian checkpoint between Adler and Psou. These checkpoints are to be equipped by summer 2011 which will make it possible to avoid confusion on the border in the holiday season.
Abkhazian resorts demand dwindles, despite comparative low costs. People prefer staying at private hotels and houses.
Recently, a new 4 star 77 room Alex Beach Hotel was opened. Abkhazian prime minister said that the hotel is an example of successful Russian investments to Abkhazian economy.
