The tourism sector in Ingushetia is in crisis at the moment - the republic, having considerable tourism potential, isn't represented on the Russian and international markets.
The deputy minister of regional development of the Russian Federation, Sergey Vereshchagin, and Ingushetia's governmental chairman, Aleksey Vorobyov, recently visited the Jayrah region, where they discussed the opportunity of tourism development in the mountainous parts of Ingushetia. "I’m sure that with the help of the president and Ingushetia’s government we will manage to create a whole complex of activities here: sports, ethnic and extreme tourism. It is necessary to inform the Russian population about the most beautiful places in the North Caucasus" - Vereshchagin said.
The Jayrah region is located on the border territory with Russia. It has a positive effect on infrastructural development and maintenance of stability. The creation of a tourism system will help solve the problem of the local population's employment and maintenance of historical and culture monuments.
