The Iranian radio in Germany, translated by the European bureau of Vestnik Kavkaza
Andreas Bulov, the former German minister on studies and technologies, gave an interview to the Iranian radio in Germany and told about the conflict over the nuclear program of Iran, location of the defense system Patriot at the Turkish-Syrian border and other acute Middle East problems. The European bureau of Vestnik Kavkaza presents a unique translation of the interview.
- Mr. Bulov, in January 2013 missile defense systems Patriot where German soldiers are operating will be located near the Turkish-Syrian border. What are the geostrategic goals of this step?
- First of all this step corresponds to the geopolitical interests of the US which decided to reorganize the Middle East, except for Saudi Arabia and Qatar – their turn will be later. We found out from the former head of the NATO headquarters, the candidate to presidency Klerk that in a few days after the terrorist attack of 9/11/01 the former defense minister of the US Rumsfeld ordered heads of seven Middle East countries to undertake military preparation for overthrowing of several regimes in the region. Today it is Syria’s turn. For example, Gaddafi’s turn had passed and he had gone, and we don’t have information on Libya today. Daily reports from the country ran out. Meanwhile, everybody is talking about Syria. Launching of Patriot in Turkey should be considered in this context.
- 600 soldiers 400 of which are German will be sent to Turkey. Doesn’t it mean preparation for direct intervention to Syria?
- We have to be patient. At the moment it is difficult to see a real situation through this lie. Speaking about Iraq, the situation was clear: they simply lied that Saddam Hussein had mass destruction weapon, and on this ground they intervened the country, unluckily to the whole Iraqi nation. The same lie was voiced toward Afghanistan: as if it had organized the terrorist attack against the US. Today considering the propaganda which we hear, the similar scenario is being implemented in Syria where the mass media try to create an image of Bashar Assad as a bloody dictator of the Middle East. Then, they show ideological “fighters for freedom” who are glad to pose in front of cameras, shooting to air and thinking they are invincible. Later they decided to perform a threat that Assad would use mass destruction weapon – chemical weapon – against his population which would be absolute nonsense. Even Hitler didn’t risk using the weapon against Russians, how a person can use it against his natives! At the same time they develop scenarios, according to which the invincible rebels capture chemical weapon as Assad’s regime is so weak that is unable to defense these facilities. Who will finally use it – terrorists acting in favor of Western interests or Assad’s army which is nonsense – is difficult to predict.
- How does German society accept the propaganda?
- German society heard a bold statement by the union of soldiers of Bundeswehr, which warns politician that they shouldn’t be involved in this adventure. But politicians are not concerned about it. I dare to say that just like in the situation with Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya 80% of the German society will be against the war, but the country’s politicians will ignore the fact.
- In such cases it is always stated that a NATO partner, for example, Turkey, has faced a threat. When did a supposition to it appear?
- We have undergone it for several times. The whole Afghan campaign is built on lie. Americans couldn’t prove that they were attacked by Afghanistan, and then they demanded from their NATO partners to attack Afghanistan. The same situation took place in Libya when the majority of people from the countries-members of the alliance were against the campaign, including Germans, but “it was urgent” to interfere as “dreadful” activities by Gaddafi were unbearable. The similar situation is going on now. The technique is the same, only propaganda methods are changing.
- The Secretary-General of the UN Ban Ki-moon has urged the sides of the Syrian conflict to hold a dialogue. How do you think why these urgings remain unanswered?
- Informed sources, including BND, think that more than 90% of “fighters for freedom” in Syria are foreign contractors. Only if the US are interested in a fair dialogue, a success can be achieved. In other case all efforts to reach peace will fail.
