The folklore ensemble Turan will start a world tour from the USA. There will be concerts in Washington. They are scheduled take place from March 21 to March 23. The performances will be timed to coincide with the celebration of Nauryz. The ensemble was invited to the USA by the Embassy of Kazakhstan.
In April, the musicians will give a number of concerts in Europe: three in France - in Paris, Lyon and Belfort, as well as they will perform in the capitals of Switzerland, Belgium, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria and Hungary.
Then the tour program includes performances in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.
All foreign concerts of the ensemble will be held with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Kazakhstan.
Qazaqconcert's soloists, tenor Medet Chotabaev and cellist Talgar Shalkaruly, will take part in the tour.
Turan was created by a group of students of the Kazakh National Conservatory 15 years ago. The ensemble usually performs in national costumes and plays folk instruments, including dombra, kobyz, jetigen, sybyzgy, sherter and others.
