White House national security spokesperson John Kirby said that the U.S. is not seeking a conflict with Iran.
The spokesman appeared on the U.S. morning shows Friday and was asked if the U.S. could consider the recent attacks an 'act of war.'
'We don't seek a war with Iran. We're not looking for an armed conflict with that country or another war in the region,' Kirby said.
