Muharrem Ince is going to register as a presidential candidate. He managed to collect the necessary 100,000 voter signatures. Ince already participated in the 2018 presidential elections.

The head of the Turkish Homeland Party, Muharrem Ince, managed to collect 100,000 signatures needed in order for his candidacy to be registered in the presidential elections ahead of schedule.

He expressed his gratitude to the country and people for their support and urged to continue supporting his candidacy. On his Twitter page, he wrote that signatures will be gathered till March 27, 20.00.

Ince already participated in the previous presidential election. 30% voters cast their ballots for him.

The Turkish opposition nominated the presidential candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu and does not support the nomination of Ince, as his candidacy may take away some of the votes needed by Erdoğan's main rival.

Elections will be held on May 14, the candidate with more than 50% of the votes will win, otherwise, a runoff election will be held.
