In February, the production of cars in Russia fell by almost 70%, exceeding the January fall by 53%. Car production in the country decreased fourfold.
In February, the domestic production of passenger cars decreased by 69.9%. According to Rosstat, the decrease is more than 52% comparing with the previous month.
For two months of this year, Russia produced almost 54,000 cars, while last year, in January-February, the figures were higher by 73.5% (3.8 times).
About 18,400 trucks were created in Russia in the first two months of the year (30.6% less than in 2022). The production of buses in Russia has fallen by 14% since the beginning of the year.
The production of internal combustion engines in February amounted to 15,500 units, which is 66.5% less than the previous year.
