The Akkuyu nuclear power plant may start generating electricity in 6 months. The relevant information was disclosed by Erdoğan's representative Ibrahim Kalin.
The first reactor of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant can be put into operation in 6 months, the official representative of the Turkish leader says.
Ibrahim Kalin recalled that the nuclear power plant is the first in Türkiye, thus, the project is of great importance for the country.
According to the politician, fuel load will become a landmark stage of the project. Kalin specified that he will visit the station on Thursday, April 27. Shortly after that, with the participation of the IAEA, the NPP will receive the official status of a nuclear facility.

Will Putin visit Akkuyu NPP?
Earlier, the Turkish President said that his Russian counterpart may come to Mersin for the solemn ceremony on April 27.
Later, Dmitry Peskov said that there was no information on whether the President of the Russian Federation would participate in the event, in person or in video format, but he assured that Russia would be present at the ceremony.
