Instead of the Holy Lake in Kosino-Ukhtomskoye, the mosque will be built not far from the Kosino metro station, Sergey Sobyanin announced.

The new mosque in Moscow will receive a different land plot, and won’t be built in the Holy Lake in Kosino-Ukhtomsky district, Mayor Sergey Sobyanin said.

Amid the proposals to postpone construction from Patriarch Kirill and Chairman of the Council of Muftis of the Russian Federation Ravil Gaynutdin, it is planned to provide a plot of land for the construction of a mosque in the Kosino metro area.

Sobyanin informed that there are currently no relevant decisions from the Moscow authorities or other bodies, but the issue was preliminary  discussed by the Commission for Town Planning, State Property and Land
