Amid the price increase for tours to Türkiye by 25%, booking summer vacations from Russia is inactive. Demand for summer holidays in Türkiye is 30% below the minimum recorded last year.
Russians are in no hurry to book tours for the summer in Türkiye due to a significant increase in prices, the Russian Union of Travel Industry informs.
In spring 2023, the demand for summer vacation packages to Türkiye is extremely low. Earlier bookings are 30% lower than in 2022, when the demand for tours was minimal, head of the Rozoviy Slon agencies network Alexan Mkrtchyan said. He noted that for summer 2023, "the usual prices in Turkish hotels" are set only for May and the first half of June. Since late June, prices for tours are much higher, at least by 20-25%. Taking into account the exchange rate, for Russian tourists, this summer vacation will cost much more.
Türkiye has become a costly direction for the Russians due to the growth of the exchange rate, rising prices for hotel services, jet fuel, lack of charters, as well as the popularity of this destination.
The 2023 summer tours to Türkiye may slightly fall in price by late May, the Russian Union of Travel Industry suggests. Amid the low demand, Turkish hotels can offer discounts, but it is better not count on it as not only Russians, but also residents of other countries enjoy vacation in Türkiye.
