North Ossetia gorges to be preserved for tourists

In North Ossetia, mountains and gorges will be protected for the delight of tourists and future generations. In this regard, a draft law is being developed to preserve protected areas in the republic.

In North Ossetia, a draft law on specially protected areas is being developed. It will protect mountains and gorges so that picturesque locations can continue to attract tourists to the region.

On Thursday, the head of North Ossetia, Sergey Menyailo, dismissed the Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology, Vitaly Kokoev, who allowed the creation of quarries in the Digorskoye Gorge. On the agenda is the creation of a law that will protect the natural tourist attractions of the republic, Menyailo wrote in one of the social networks.

The list of specially protected areas will include mountains, gorges, and slopes. The head of the region noted that it is inadmissible to mine them for dolomite. According to him, the mountains of North Ossetia must be preserved in their original beauty for future generations.

The Digorskoye Gorge is one of the most important points of attraction for tourists in North Ossetia. It is located 120 km from Vladikavkaz. This is one of the most beautiful gorges in the North Caucasus.
