Russia becomes main importer of Turkish citrus fruits

From January to March 2022, Türkiye increased the volume of citrus exports to $351б8 million, which is 12б22% more than last year, Anadolu reports, citing the press service of the Mediterranean Exporters Association.

According to the organization, in three months of this year, Türkiye sold 603,488 tons of citrus fruits. At the same time, last year the country earned $313,5 million from the export of 791,936 tons.

The most popular citrus fruits exported were tangerines, grapefruit, oranges and lemons.

It should be added that Russia bought the most citrus fruits from Türkiye, whose imports from the country amounted to about $149 million. Then there are Ukraine (33 million), Poland (25 million), Romania (15 million), Bulgaria (12 million).
