The leadership of Azerbaijan is ready to reintegrate the Armenian residents of the country, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry says. The department is sure that Yerevan should not interfere.
Baku is fully determined in everything related to the reintegration of the Armenian population of Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in response to a comment by the Armenian Foreign Ministry.
"The Armenian side must stop interfering in this process. The rights and freedoms of every person who wants to live in the territory of Azerbaijan are guaranteed within the framework of Azerbaijani legislation,"
– Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan informs.
Peace treaty
Ilham Aliyev previously stressed that, despite the fact that for 30 years Armenia has occupied the lands of Azerbaijan, Baku initiated the signing of a peace treaty that should be based on the principles of territorial integrity and sovereignty.
