Despite the fact that the meeting between the heads of Azerbaijan and Armenia planned for October through EU mediation will not take place, Brussels is holding negotiations on organizing a new summit.
Brussels is negotiating with Baku and Yerevan a new meeting, the press secretary of EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Toivo Klaar said.
According to him, the trilateral meeting with the participation of Ilham Aliyev and Nikol Pashinyan in the Brussels format, which was planned in late October, is cancelled, Trend informs.
At the same time, the diplomat emphasized, in the last few weeks, the Armenian and Azerbaijani sides have publicly stated that they remain committed to peace negotiations, including in the Brussels format through the mediation of European Council President Charles Michel.
