An official welcome ceremony was held in Baku for President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, who arrived in Azerbaijan for a state visit on May 22.
A guard of honor was arranged for the Tajik leader in the square decorated with the national flags of the two countries.
President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev welcomed Emomali Rahmon. The leaders reviewed the guard of honor. The Tajik President saluted the Azerbaijani soldiers.
After the national anthems of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan were played, the delegation of Azerbaijan was introduced to Emomali Rahmon, while the delegation of Tajikistan was introduced to Ilham Aliyev.
The presidents posed for official photos and held a one-on-one meeting.
